I was employed for 6 months by a small company (well, a mom and pop shop) for 4 months and they don't give out pay-slips. I now need one for visa purposes. None of the people at my previous company know how to make one / what information to include! They used to pay me by cheque (TDS deducted), which got transferred to my personal Bank account.
I would really appreciate if anyone can tell me about the details that I should get included on the pay slip to make sure it is considered genuine by the embassy. I have seen some friends' and they include Provident Fund etc as well. I have no idea about it. Please help!!!!
My salary btw was Rs 30,000 pm and they used to deduct a TDS of Rs 2,500.
Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for your reply. Most helpful.
As for the EPF deduction, would I necessarily need to get the "Provident Fund A/C Number" included on my pay-slip? If yes, then how does one go about getting it?
Thanks again.
