Hi All, Today my boss will sit with me for my appraisal after a long time it was due from April 2007. Do I need to prepare something for that appraisal interview. Please reply Thanx & Rgds Pratibha

you can do the following:
- list ur achievements at work from arp'07 till date.
- list any major work or jobs u had handled till date.
- highlight ur positive points and know how they wud help them in ur career
- list the different obstacles u faced n how u did or want to tackle them in future
- the different kinds of trainings/workshops/courses u r planning to do in the future
- the kinda support u expect from ur mgmt in ur work.
- if u have any ideas for new polices or new initiatives
basically, be prepared to tell them wat u did best so far and wat u intend to do even better hereafter and how.

Apart from it you should also add the following -
- Be very much clear of what kind of appraisal you are expecting and your reasons in support of that.
- You may add your long term goals, what kind of responsibilities you want to handle moving 1-3 years ahead.
- Be prepared to show your concern in a right manner if the appraisal doesn't match your expectation.
- Your expectations should be based on facts that you can defend.
- Ask the manager your areas of improvement and any concerns.
- Show your concern for the delay in appraisal meeting. Ask for appraisal arrears from April 2007.
