Hi
Please give some information regarding joining leave. Is there is any policy for joining leave? If an employee joins on 19th and went back on 21st to serve his notice period and again join back on 30th then how to calculate his salary?? Please guide me

Hi Poonam,
As per Leave policy, a company provide Leaves on pro-rata basis..
So one can't be given any leave within 2 days of his Joining..
Moreover, as he went to serve his notice period, so in this case you can't pay him even of 19th and 20th.. because that time he was in other employment also.. So it would be better if you start his salary from 30th onwards after his relieving from previous employment..
Moreover, one may not get salary of same days from two employers.
But if any condition is been putted before then to compensate that you may pay him in different terms after a month of service...

Hi Poonam
Amit is very right, leaves are credited on prorata basis. Another thing if an employee goes back to serve the notice period after joining then its a case of double employment, which is prohibted. In your and this employee's previous appointment letter, ther must be clause that during the course of employment, the employee will not engage himself in any other activity relating to earning profits.

Dear Poonam,
If he went out for some other works, then also you can't pay him of absent period.. because according to leave policy it is been approved on pro-rata basis.. so after working 2 days only no body may claim for leave...
But if he has not went to serve his notice period, then with the approval of senior management only the salary of those days may be credited..
But doing so may create a negative impact in the mind of other employees...
Regards,
Amit Seth.
