Hii everyone, I have one query as I had a car accident case on me in my past (section 304A) and I have completed the imprisonment of 6 months because of it, As I am a software engineer by profession, will I be eligible for private jobs??

it was an unintentional road accident…

I am worried about my professional career(will I get a job) and I am feeling depressed after thinking about it..

Kindly guide.

A car accident is a normal occurrence for every car driver and being convicted for rash and negligent driving with 6 months imprisonment is complicating it a bit. Since this is a past incident, (how long past it has been) should not create a negative feeling about you.

Dear member,

You committed a crime and you were punished for it. The completion of the punishment should put a lid on what happened in the past. An act of rash and negligent driving was committed outside the domain of company activities. It was not a professional lapse but a personal one. How long to carry the baggage of the guilt for the personal lapse is a point to moot.

Sometimes you need to break this shell of self-deprecation and face the world. Therefore, start applying for jobs vigorously. Sometimes your luck will click. However, in the meantime prepare yourself so well that the interviewer should feel guilty if they lose your candidature!

All the best!
