Hello,
I think there can not be exact guidelines for deciding a salary of a candidate. We can have a general salary figure in our mind based upon the profitability of the organization.
So many factors need to be considered before we can close a deal with a candidate like (1) His / Her Education Qualification (2) the academic records throughout (3) Work experience in the related field (4) success achieved by the candidate in the previous organization (5) communication skill [for almost all position] (6) ability to getting along with the people (7) availability factor as required by the company (8) personality [if it matters for the related position] (9) skill level in the related field and many many more..
Therefore, to evaluate a candidate is really a complex process and salary figure could be arrived at based upon the suitability of a candidate from above parameters. As said above one can keep a general figure in mind and come to a figure based upon the how many parameters he is passing through.

Hi Shrawani,
Our's is a small organization with around 10 employees. So the work assigned is also not that high and we prefer to have Min graduates rather having MBA candidates.
In this kind of Organization what would be the pattern on the packages being offered i.e for non-MBA's.
Would like to discuss more on this topic. Anyone who is into consultancy please forward more insight on this.
Rgds,
Jisha.

Hello Jisha,
I am afraid you have not provided any details of frontline employees. It always vary from position to position. Moreover the city status also plays a role in it.
If we talk about HR Executive Fresher (For Rajkot City) starting salary based upon the degree, it will range somewhere between 6-8k.
But if talk about cities like Ahmedabad then it will range from 8-10k for MBA (HR). And it is always bit more for metros.
Let me know if you need any further inputs.

Aakash,
It depends what kind of assignments you have assigned to your team member in a placement company.
You can design some sort of units measuring the average salary that you place and attaining certain number of units / month will lead to earn some amount of incentive. You can offer "x"% per "y" units in increasing order.
I hope this will help you.
Thanks,
Philip
