Hi, I got an offer from TCS and unknowingly gave my permanent and current address as the same. But I vacated that house due to lockdown.
When I check with hr he said we can't change one BGC initiated. I am worried that if BGC check fails well TCS cancel my offer or any alternative ??

Dear Pavan,
I think the answer of the HR of the prospective employer seems incorrect and simply exhibits his callous attitude. Residential or permanent address can be one and the same and it can be changed any time according to the individual's relocation necessitated by circumstances. It has nothing to do with the back ground check especially for private employment. You just inform the change in your address in writing.

Umakanth, thanks for your quick response.
But the BGV is handling by third party. Will really address verification fails effect offer cancellation ??
Is TCS do that ?? If address change will take the process delay in BGV ??

Address changes do take place.
Intimate in writing the change to HR.
Attitudeof HR seems to be of a babu.
Evenbthen if BGV people arrive at old address
Some one will mention person has vacated due to lock down
As a matter of precaution just inform previous owner of likely Verification check.
Next time be more careful and read document before sending.
Mistakes can be nipped at bud itself
