Hi All
I need your suggestion here. I got offer from TCS on Dec 2018. I am currently working with IBM (Serving Notice period) and before that I was working in small firm of 10-15 employees (Aug 2012 - Dec 2014). Now company is closed in Nov 2018. While recruitment process in TCS, I clearly said to HR that my previous company is closed and if they want they can remove my prior company experience as I was already eligible for the interview from IBM work experience and got offer for IBM work experience only. That time HR said relieving letter would be enough from previous company.
Later TCS called me and said company is closed please provide proofs. I gave them below proofs.
Relieving/Experience letter - Provided
Bank statement of last 3 months - Provided for 5 months
Company owner acknowledgement mail for working tenure - Provided
Over phone communication with company owner for the working tenure - Done
In personal physical verification of the company address - Done, person was confirmed by care taker of the building that company was in function till Oct 2018.
Company URL Welcome Home Deviator :-) - Still running in Google
Now TCS is asking to provide bank statement for whole tenure from 2012 - 2014.
I went to bank again and bank said that they provided statement from 2013 till now only and said before that data is archived and they cant access it until/unless there is criminal activity/police intervention is there.
Also in the beginning we were given salary in envelope and later we started getting salary in account.
Now TCS is saying they dont how I get whole statement and if I dont provide, they will cancel my candidature.
Please help and let me know what should I do here in this case.

This is a clear example of irresponsible way of conducting background check by mediocre people holding important HR positions in a prestigious organization like TCS. I don't think any sensible person can join such an organization permitting the HR to conduct BGV in such a pedantic manner. Better write back to them to consider the evidence of your previous employment already submitted by you. Still, they are insistent , better reject the offer with the reasons.

Hi Ashutosh,
I am in similar situation but only difference is that my previous company is still functioning but that is not a registered company, I want to know experience from an unregistered company is counted in TCS or not?

Thanks
