Dear Sir, As per the new amendment we have to consider all allowances for PF. Generally, we consider 12 % on Basic + da. But I am a little confused about the allowances contribution in PF is it considered as (Basic+da+allowance) is equal to 12% or only basic & da 12%. So then what is the percentage of allowances. How PF calculated on allowances. Please guide me.

Please note that, as per recently introduced new Labour Code, in the definition of the word "wages", the components such as House Rent Allowance, Overtime allowance, commission, travel allowance are excluded. Therefore, liability of contributions of employees and employers under EPF Act and ESI Act, will be reduced.
