Adding to above, ESIC allows IPs to purchase medicines from private chemists during lockdown.
In order to ease out the hardship of ESI beneficiaries in this touch time, ESIC has allowed purchase of medicines by beneficiaries from private chemists during lock down period and its subsequent reimbursement by ESIC.
Further, ESI authorities have extended medical services of ESI hospitals not only to IPs but also to general public without any user charges (for COVID 19 suspected /confirmed cases).
(as per their circular no.PT No.A/48/15/3/2017 Med-1 dated 13/4/2020.
