Dear friend,
Your team has performed poorly and you wanted to punish them by extending workweek to 6 days. But then what kind of study of the performance have you conducted so as to arrive at the conclusion that the number of days of the workweek are responsible for poor performance.
What if the performance remains the same in spite of extending workweek from five to six days? Then what to do? Should it be extended to seven days?
There are several causes of poor performance. Earlier, I have given a reply to a similar post. You may click the following link to refer it:

We have certain barometers to get results from team but we are now not getting as per it. So just to teach them a lesson or warn them by doing this. I don't want to deduct salary or performance review affected for this. Hope I am thinking fair enough. Please guide..

Dear colleague,
Without making proper analysis of reasons for lower productivity, to think that adopting 6-day work week, that too to punish teams , is more likely to boomrang with adverse effect on team morale.
You need to remove kink in your thinking that you want do this to punish them.
On the contrary, if you take your teams into confidence and get their buy in for the need for improving productivity supported by data, it would give a lot more push to the proposal of 6-day working and it may change into win-win situation.
