How important it is to have one's name in the company organogram or organisation chart?
My name is not in the organogram and I am a senior executive in Information Management.
Please suggest if I should talk to my VP regarding this.

Yes, you may talk to the senior and discuss with him as to why your name is missing from the organogram. You need to find out whether it was due to oversight or done deliberately. If former then it is ok but if latter, then you need to find out what has gone wrong.
By the way, you say that you are "Senior Executive". In that case, you also need to introspect and assess whether your post justifies your senior position. By reading your post, one gets a feeling that you are a greenhorn! Why you felt that other senior members of this forum will accept your casualness that you would know best!

In organogram of the company normally the designation or position is mentioned and not the name. Certainly your HOD's name must have been mentioned. You may contact him and ask the organogram details of your dept and it must be included therein.
