A week ago i joined a 4 star hotel as HR, and this hotel still follows the traditional way of signing register for attendance and managing leave on leave card which is very confusing, and on top of it after my joining i came to know that the one who was managing HR in absence of the staff have left too, and now i am all stranded struggling to understand the system. now its payroll time and i don't know what to do and neither i want employees to suffer because of this, any suggestions to make this process more easier and quick. seniors please advice.

We live in an era of technology. Harness the most of it; and automate the entire process. Install a biometric machine, capture attendance online, sync it with payroll. Launch an HRIS, let employees see their attendance online, let them apply for leaves online, let the leave card be generated online.
There are many service providers who can help u automate the entire system.
