Please tell me the rule of Pay protection for charge sheeted employee. Suppose one employee have a basic of 20000 at higher grade and he was degraded to 18,000 basic at lower scale. What is the amount of pay protection and how long it will continue? Suppose after he will reach 20000 due to annual increment or promotion, it will stop or continue?

Dear N B Rana
Your question is not clear, please specify,
1) He is chargesheeted or suspended or punished?
2) Why the Basic has been lowered? Degradation as Punishment? if yes it is followed by any disciplinary action?
3) Please reproduce the punishment, verbatim.

Dear Mr. Rana
In case of punishment of degradation of wages. Once the salary has been degraded and fixed at new scale/basic the rules pertaining to increment etc. are applied as it were prior to punishment. The punished employee's basic can increase on account of increment and there should not be any upper limit.
