Dear All,
As per interim order by Hon’ble Supreme court on dated 06.07.2018 “ESIC shall remain stayed until further order for construction site workers".
In view of the order it is clarified that no ESIC contribution may be collected from the construction site workers and from their employers during the period of stay order.
My question is that in this view if permanent staffs who are posted in various construction sites and some of in Regional office, their liability flows under Regional office as per payroll module.in both cases they are eligible for ESIC or Not.clarification order of ESIC attached for reference.

What will be the fate of these workers in case of accidents & sickness, obviously employers have to foot the bill, I think, no other go.

Permanent employees are covered under ESIC.
