Dear Hr Friends I have a query about conveyance allowance that Like PF ,ESIC is there any act that governs the conveyance allowance.I am not aware of any such act.Kindly Help. Thanks Bijay

Conveyance allowance is not governed by any Act but exempted from I.Tax as per IT rules - Rs.800/- month. Pon

Hi PON Sir,
Thanks For the reply, However I am confused if it is not governed under any act.Then who decides the min & max amount of Conveyance allowance,.Also my other query was on applicability of ESIC on conveyance allowance.The ambiguity is that, is it mandatory to provide conveyance allowance to employees under the very name of conveyance allowance.
Pls Help me understand.
