hi jagjit,
I have studied ur query, as u have mentioned that ur present company is having a gud value in domestic as well as international market, and ur exams in jan-feb, so i suggest to stay with ur present company only, as the level of comfort which a person gains only comes with time. If u'll join a new company at this point of time then ur exams may suffer or u may not get leaves as this would be the starting point in the other company of urs.Opportunities will come and go and it will again come with much good terms if u succeed well in ur final year exams, ur value automatically gets mutiplied along with ur experience as well as ur present company market status. In life only money doesnot matters, ur experience, ur qualification and specially when u want a shift den ofcourse the status and the brand name of ur present company does matters.
I hope i have presented the pros and cons about ur present query. The decision is urs jagjit.
All d best.

Few days back i have raised the query on this desk. & few friends have replied the same. But again the same question is arise .Company has started the firing people which are on the bench. They told to leave the company in one month . HR simply told that they have not any project as per there profile. So please look some where. They will not issue any terminating letter to them. HR has initiated with 4 people & some more than 30 in our dep have without any project. Now how we can trust on another companies which they are hiring on mass scale.Experience professional Employes future are in dark. Are these company are playing with experience people.
I have seen vary few companies which are hire on requirement only.ie
Please give your comment on the same. & in these circumstances what should you do?

HI,
This is for your understanding why companies Hire before hand ....
For eg If a Company X has a new s/w to be built it announces in the market ... Then the software companies would bid the project showing their assets like talent pool, Expences, reliability... etc,,, to show this (ie to show talent pool which is apt for that project) they hire people in advance.
One of the s/w companies would get the project and the rest of the companies who hired ppl whould either match the skills for other project or else keep them on bench.
If they don't find need for that particulat skills in the near future they fire..
........................
So always better to discuss project you would be deployed in before joining.......

I suggest do not move at this stage as the level of comfort in handling your job along with your upcoming exams is high & will not be the case if you switch jobs.
Besides look at it positively. You are on the bench here which means that there isno project for you from the company right now.this means no pressing work conditions-an ideal time to concentrate on your studies.
Be of some assistance to others as per their comfort level so that you dont feel wasted-that's the feeling I got from your post.
Once you have completed your exams you will be in a postion to decide on your next course of action.
Presently chill & make the most of this situation.
All the best for your exams.

Dear Jimmy
Please wait till you complete your MBA exams.
Secondly, think twice before you go for the second offer.
If your present employer is paying well, do not jump for new job.
May be after completing MBA, your position may be changed with suitable packages.
Any how, wait for some time.
