Hi,
I dont have experience letter from previous employer. I only have offer letter & salary slips for reference. I am not able to show this experience & causing a gap of 8 months in my employment. can I say that during these 8 month, I was searchign for job and was not working, else will there be any problem during background check.

hi Abhi,
If you have worked in the previous organisation for 8 months.i think you should show this work exp.Since you do not have the exp letter you can send a mail to your reporting boss on the official id.take the print and give that to the HR along with the reply on the same mail as acceptance from your boss.
you can get a reliving letter if your are not absconding from work.
regards,
sunita

Hi Sunita,
I have a similar case wherein I lost the appointment + experience letter of an employer of mine, where in I worked for almost 2 years.
When I visited that company premises, the company itself is closed now. Should I include this is my resume? as I have no proof for the same and should i show that i was looking for job in this tenure as these 2 years were after i completed my graduation.

if you have a epf account you can get the certificate from the epf office stating your service with the present employer though you the employer fails to give you the experience certificate
