Dear Shankar Arsoli ji,
Are you talking about Engineering Industry from Karnataka? Presuming yes, since your title is from Bengaluru, please note as under:
Engineering and Bakery minimum wage notifications by Karnataka State Government are challenged by Karnataka Employers' Association with some owners and sought an interim order. The matter was came up for hearing on 28.02.2018 when the Hon'ble High Court has granted Interim Order directing Government of Karnataka to restrain from initiating any precipitative action for implementation of revised Minimum Wages.
The parties to this matter are Karnataka Employers' Association and some entrepreneurs. Are you a member of Karnataka Employers' Association?
If you are not a member of Karnataka Employers' Association, you may not have privilege to avail the benefit of this Interim Order. Please note, I said "may not". It's all depends on how each one interpret the order in totality.

Dear Sir,
I'm not a part of any association. I'm a labour contractor, my clients in the same vicinity should be a part of the associations mentioned.
New minimum wages has not been implemented so far. Just curious to know how sooner this shall conclude.

Dear Azim,
Oil & Gas, Petroleum Industries are not classified under Scheduled Employment as regards to The Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central) and are governed under Central Rules:
The following Industries are classified as Scheduled Employment under The Payment of Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (Central)
1 Agriculture, 2 Mines, 3 Construction / Maintenance of Roads and Building Operations & Runways. 4 Employment in laying of underground electric, wireless, radio, television, telephone, telegraph and overseas communication, cables and similar other underground cabling, electric lines, water supply lines and sewerage Pipelines. 5 Loading & unloading in Goodsheds, Parcel offices of Railways, other Goodsheds, Godowns, warehouses and Docks & Ports. 6 House Keeping (Sweeping & Cleaning), 7 Watch & Ward (Security)
Agencies which are not carrying out any activities of Construction / Maintenance of Roads and Building Operations & Runways in client's premises but doing maintenance for their Stations, Pipelines, LPG Units in multiple states.
The clients GAIL, BPCL, HPCL, IOCL, BGL, KOCHI Refinary, HMEL etc. are insisting to pay the Minimum Wages as per the "Construction / Maintenance of Roads and Building Operations & Runways" (which is the highest Minimum Wages among all the other scheduled industries)
As far as State Govt. is concerned the Registered Factories which are not covered under any Classified Scheduled Employment are considered under Residuary Factories and the Minimum Wages defined under this industry is payable to workmen.
Enclosed pls find Govt. Notifications for your reference.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Suresh
