I would require a draft invitation letter to be sent to one of our MP for inviting him in an event as important guest. Could anyone please help me by sharing the draft.

Dear Meera, The best way to learn is to draft a letter and post it here and then seek help to improve it, if it needs any improvement.

Mr. Simhan sir... I echo your suggestion. I have written in the same manner, to several youngsters. I can assure you, that person wont come back but will search for some other Path of Least Resistance ! This is how the present generation is identified... They have MBA qualifications but cant write one single sentence in English. They can type out hundreds of whatsapp and SMS messages but not a single e-mail !!!! No efforts but need immediate results..I pity them literally. These are the future leaders of the country! God bless this generation !

The generation which spends time on Whatsup and SMS have developed a habit of not knowing spellings and grammar.
This is one main reason why drafting skills are poor.
However ambition is not lacking and short cuts are adopted by asking senior members to draft basic letters.policies etc.
Very few put up a draft and ask for views/corrections etc.
I keep advising querists to read bare Acts and in many of my replies post extract of Bare act with /sections concerned to encourage reading habit.
Bare reading of the Act itself gives answer to 50% of queries here.
Ability to tackle co workers, subordinates bosses is a skill which develops by interaction, cooperation and genuine sense of friendship.
HR people need to move out of office ,read all relevant Acts, meet people on shop floor and understand how their function meshes with overall functioning of establishment.
Quick fixes are no solution to learning the ropes of the job.

Well said sir ! My book-reading habit evolved 55 years ago, thanks to our father, keeps me going this far ! What I learnt in HR domain over 20 years, keeps me going post-retirement too. I bagged an assignment to do HR auditing and implementation of PMS in an alien land ie Doha Qatar and after a month's stay, returning to Bangalore this Thursday.
Learning is still a part of me, despite crossing the 60's of my life !
Learning should be along with Earning... Just an addition of L !

Dear Sundaram and Nathrao,
I agree with your sentiments. Another reason for this dependency culture is that there are too many "do gooders" that readily answer such queries (Sometimes, based on assumptions and not even asking for full information on the scenario).
