Hello,
As per your query, there is no specific bracket for HR salary. It can be a real high salary or a real low salary depending upon the kind of work you do,the company that hires you and your stability factor in the company.HR is not like other industries that by switching jobs u benefit..this will go against you.
Your friends Manager can be getting a 3LAC package which depends on her yrs of experience can we be able to rate it as good or bad.
So all th ebest with your career in HR..
Keep intuch.

I know one person working as VP-HR in India, getting a salary of 1.25 Crore PA. As per the Indian list of 1000 highly paid professionals...the highest paid HR professional is getting 6 Crores PA and is working with Bharthi Group of Companies.
So, there is no fix range of salary. It depends on following:
1) Your Educational Background.
2) Institutes that you have studied in
3) Type of industry and companies that you have worked in.
A fresh MBA-HR from XLRI, working as Management Traniees gets a package like...7-10 Lakhs.

Hi Nidhi,
First decide whether u like what u are doing? If you like your HR- Generalist role, why do u want to change it?But,in case u are really intetested in Hard core recuriting, then u can think about change in role.
Salary package for HR also differs from company to company.
