Dear Rakesh Negi,
EDLI compensation has 2 parts.
1. 30 times of salary on which EDLI premium paid. (Subject to a salary ceiling of Rs. 15000).
2. 50% of average deposit in PF for total service and last twelve months, whichever is less; subject to a ceiling of Rs. 1,50,000.
i.e ceiling of the above two will be Rs. 4,50,000 & Rs. 1,50,000 respectively and total ceiling is Rs. 6,00,000.

If any one has served 30 years in a company and retires at the age 58 years and got pension as per the EPF Pension rules. but he continued his service with the same employer contributing towards EPF (Both by emploer and employee) without any break. He dies at the age 61 on 21.04.2016. At this time his salary was Rs 63000 (Basic plus DA). Whether his spouse is eligible for the payment of EDLI. What will be the amount of the same with the calculation sheet.
