Hi, I have recently joined MNC as HR Executive & i came to know that I am not in ESIC as per updated norms as my salary exceeds 21k & company have provided health insurance but that premium is deducted from my salary so is it applicable or not. I just want to clarify nothing else.

It is not applicable unless it was mentioned in your terms of appointment/ salary details or without your subsequent consent.

But is it compulsory to opt for health insurance as i do have my personal insurance. If i dont want this facility from company so may i ask them to add that amount in net salary.

In case the premium is being borne by you, then it is totally your discretion either to opt or not. P k Sharma

Please clarify ; Company is deducting Group health insurance amount from your CTC or Insurance amount from your gross salary ?
If its from CTC than you can not do any thing as its from CTC.

Its a group health insurance amount, means initially in salary break up certain amount shown as deduction amount for ESIC but after clarifying new norms of ESIC then they have added that amount in my in hand, but later they decided to deduct insurance amount from that. So that's why i am bit confused about it.
