Dear Ntsi Kakazi,
Employee motivation is a very complex subject. Its measure is further complex. Earlier, twice I have given reply on this subject. Click the following link to refer it:

Employee motivation is not akin to employee satisfaction. While surveys are available to measure the latter but not necessarily the former. Going further, a satisfied employee may not be motivated employee. However, evidence of employee motivation demonstrates through the various other ratios. Few of them are as below:
a) Operational ratios like human productivity, scrap generated etc
b) Ratios related workers strikes and lockouts
c) Ratios related to customer satisfaction and customer compliments
d) Interpersonal environment in the company
e) Employee turnover ratio
f) Employee suggestion ratio
A cursory glance over these ratios would reveal whether the employee motivated or not.
Thanks,
