Please let me know whether an employee can avail both casual/privilege leave and sick leave together. I mean if an employee takes Sick Leave one day and immediately the next day can he avail Casual Leave or not and vice versa.

Normally, the practice is that casual leave is not combined with any kind of leave as the purpose of casual leave is to meet emergency or unforeseen reasons for absence, while privilege leave is allowed in combination with sick leave.However, it all depends up on the leave policy of the company..If you do not have one, frame it.

In respect of Government employees CL is taken to be duty while other types of leave are not. As such CL cannot be combined with any other types of leave.

CL is not clubbed with other leaves...SL and PL can be clubbed if required. CL is for meeting exigencies occured and has a maximum limit to which it can be availed. Whereas others can be availed in full subject to approval.
