Dear All,
As per the recent development in ECR uploading, the ECR will not be uploaded without UAN.
The employee, while joining fills form 11. If he is not having UAN, employer will generate his UAN along with KYC details and sided to employee for activation the same.
The ECR will be UAN base only.
Thanks,
Vidyadhar Bhat

Mr VIDYA DHAR has undated proposed inundation of ECR. It is in progress, but not implemented till day. Training to Assistant Commissioners IT in PF departments has been given, but training to EDP cell of department has not been passed on by Assistant Commissioners. Hope it would be applicable from the next financial year. A procedure would be given to the employer on EPF portal after giving training to staff of EDP cell of the department the time would be given to understand the public i.e. employer. Hence I think it would take time.

Dear Mr. Anand,
The EPFO has cleared all the pending confirm previous employment process and allotting UAN to all the members up to Oct 16 pd Nov 16 for all the establishments by 25th Nov 2016. Employer will sided the UAN to member and upload KYC for these UAN as well as member will activate the UAN.
The member's are asked to transfer their previous PF to current employer's new UAN.
If the old UAN is existing, it will be invalid in due course.
Accordingly, I don't think that again there will be pending confirmation pending from Nov 16 pd Dec 16.
Let us see the development by end of Nov 2016.
Thanks,

Dear Mr. Vidyadhar, I Have a question on this line above : "The member's are asked to transfer their previous PF to current employer's new UAN. If the old UAN is existing, it will be invalid in due course".
Most of the employees of our company have their old UAN and I have already linked OUR PF ACCOUNT TO THE RESPECTIVE OLD UAN NUMBERS. PLEASE ADVISE IF I NEED TO CREATE NEW UAN FOR THEM. HOW ABOUT MOBILE ACTIVATION, THAT ALREADY REGISTERED IN UAN PORTAL. Can I activate same mobile number with new UAN? EPFO does not allow a mobile to register twice.
Appreciate your reply/comment.
Regards,
Ramesh

Dear Mr. Ramesh,
Old UAN will be invalid in due course means If member has transferred his PF balance from old UAN to New UAN, the old UAN will be invalid automatically by RPFC and intimation will be sent to the member, in respect of two or more UAN.
These cases are for whom the cases were pending in the RPFC portal for confirm previous employment, by the present employer. Such cases are cleared by RPFC by allotting fresh UAN. Accordingly, in this process if any member has old UAN and again allotted fresh UAN, will have to transfer the PF to New UAN.

I have a question of inundation of UAN. My self has been allotted more than one UAN, due to drawing salary as consultant from different companies. Would all the UAN numbers would be consolidated. If so how my monthly contributions would be updated?

Dear Mr. Anand,
Any member cannot work in two establishments at a time,Its is offense. Hence last UAN only will be the valid UAN. Consultant is not employee, there is no relation as employer and employee.

I have a different opinion about the view expressed by Bhat about consultant and illegality of working for more than one establishment. There is nothing wrong in working for different establishments and drawing "SALARY" from these different establishments. At the same time it should be salary and not any other fees/ retainer fees when it is subjected to PF deduction. In most of the cases the designation will be Consultant but he will be working like an employee. This is usually done just to avoid PF deductions. In the present case, it is just opposite, a person designated as Consultant and working as a part time employee and in such scenario, each employer is under a legal obligation to deduct and contribute towards PF. Again, in such cases, obviously there will be more than one PF numbers but you have a single UAN and the payments can be linked to that UAN.

Thanks Mr. Bhat, Then I a reverse case. One of my employee has transfered his PF from New UAN to Old UAN and presently the contribution is continue in the OLD UAN. Reason he did so because the DSC of the Employer (New UAN) was not registered in EPF and it was not allowing me to link/transfer.
FYI, I did not allot him UAN as he already had two UANs.
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Ramesh

Dear Mr. Ramesh,
The member has transferred his PF from new UAN to old UAN. Accordingly, the new UAN will be invalid in due course.
You have not allotted him UAN, means If you are silent on the previous employer confirmation, the portal will allot new UAN.
Ask member to transfer the old UAN which is active to new UAN in your establishment.
Thanks,
