Dear Sir,
There was a proposal to extend maternity leave from 12 weeks to 26 weeks. Has it become law? If a person has gone o leave from 1st August, will she be able to avail additional leave under this amendment. Could you please clarify.

Dear,
Greetings of the day!!!
ESIC has already taken an initiative for enhancement of Maternity leave and already issued a notification on 6th Oct, 2016.
As per my opinion if ESIC will do this applicable from 6th November, 2016 than it will create pressure on government to issue a notification on public interest.
Please wait for 6th November, 2016 after that will may get some notification.
