Hi,
Two of our production team employees have completed their B tech degree and now looking for salary appreciation from company, both have joined 6 month back to company.
Till the time we do not have such policy in company regarding it..
This is for one of our production/manufacturing unit.
Could you please share me any such kind of formatted policy so I’ll take inputs.

Dear Hr770,

Acquirement of some degree itself cannot be a ground for salary hike. However, few questions arise from your post.

B Tech degree can be done through regular course only. How your employees have acquired this degree while working in your company? How many years course is this and from what university have they acquired it? Have you verified the genuineness of their degree certificates? How many months or years these employees are working in your company?

Now the employees have acquired graduation in engineering and assuming it to be genuine, they need to be considered for a position whose basic qualification is graduation in Engineering. In fact more than a salary hike, this could be a case of "Policy on Employee Promotion". Assess both the employees on "Promotion Suitability Form" and consider their candidature.

As of now you may give them reply that their candidature will be considered as and when vacancy arise for the position where qualification requirement is B Tech.

Thanks,

Dinesh Divekar
