Dear all like to enquire that is there any rule in CLRA for appointment of medical officer any any establishment where more than 1000 worker appointed as contract labour.

According to factories act-1948 A establishment employing 500 or more employees (including contract workers) should have Ambulance room equipped with prescribed items under the law and should have medical & nursing staff who will be readily available during working hours of a factory.

a. Hazardous .
b. Continous Processing Plant
Other issues also taken into account .Therefore Pl clarify from DISH Dept .Only .
