Hi,
I presently work in Noida with software firm ..I was on 6 month probation period from feb 15 till 31st july. so now i completed my probation period and not signed any other documents such as probation extension agreement or not accepted any letter stating permanent employed agreement... My question is that If I resign now ,do I need to serve any notice period bcoz my employer had 2 moth notice period while in probation but my probation period is over...
Thanks

Hi, Abhishek, As far as my knowledge you have to give a one month (Normal Period) notice before resignation. By Mr.Thumbs Up

You have a notice period of 2 months in probation.
Your probation has not officially ended because you have not got a letter stating that it is over or that you have been confirmed.
So the notice period specified applied.

Hello Abhishekrajgupta,
Guess you have got the concept of Notice Period a bit in a lopsided way.
Generally, the Notice Period during Probation is lesser than that which is applicable AFTER Confirmation, i.e., completion of Probation. OR at best, it can be ZERO during Probation, but Notice Period INVARIABLY applies after probation.
So, in your case, since the Notice Period during Probation is 2 months, most likely, it would be the same after Probation OR higher than 2 months.
Suggest check your Appointment Letter OR HR Policies--what applies to you would be clear then.

Dear Mr.Abhishek,
Until and unless your services are confirmed in writing by the Management till such time you are deemed as probationer only. If you want to continue you wait for your confirmation and follow the company rules. As there is no compulsion to absorb you in permanent rolls and it is sole discretion of the Company. You want to quit you follow the clause of notice period. Please go as per the procedure and do not take any hectic action.
