Hi, recently i got mail from HR professional that, Ministry of Labour development has proposed below changes in existing labour laws.
1. Maternity Leave : Instead of 3 months , 6 Months is applicable.
2. Ceiling Limit for Bonus : Earlier It was 10,000 /- , proposed to 19,000 /- as ceiling limit.
3. Gratuity Applicability : Even employee leaves organization before 5 years , he is eligible for gratuity claim.
Is this proposal is genuine and any gazetted notification available.

These are just proposal and not passed yet. You will get gazzette notifications only if parliament approves it. So far there is no change

The above proposals are genuine only, Yet to come Gazete Notification for the same.
If all goes well, shortly they will get amended by the both the houses (LOk Sabha and Rajya Sabha).

2. Ceiling Limit for Bonus : Earlier It was 10,000 /- , proposed to 19,000 /- as ceiling limit.
3. Gratuity Applicability : Even employee leaves organization before 5 years , he is eligible for gratuity claim.
Note : Gazette Notification is yet to come.

This is only proposed. There is not any change in any labour right now. The labour ministry in consideration to change in various labour law and they posted the draft code at his web site for suggestion from various forum.

These are proposed only. May take years to be implemented. As far Gratuity Applicability :" Even employee leaves organization before 5 years , he is eligible for gratuity claim." Proposal is He is not eligible for gratuity claim only it is to be made portable.

Yes, Gratuity law has been loosened from 5 years to 4 years 240 / 190 days.
As per Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972, any employees become eligible for the gratuity when he has completed five years service. However, The employee who has worked for 240 days in 5th year, can claim to complete 5 years completion with that organization.

I am not sure about others...but ceiling limit of Bonus act is proposed to increase to Rs, 25000 not 19000 but still this is a proposal..not implemented yet..

Dear,
with reference to your mail,
1. Maternity Leave : Instead of 3 months , 6 Months is applicable.- proposal is for increasing maternity leave from 12 to 26 weeks.(6.5 Months). (Govt to increase maternity leave in private sector to 26 weeks | The Indian Express). Gazette notification attached.
2. Ceiling Limit for Bonus : Earlier It was 10,000 /- , proposed to 19,000 /- as ceiling limit. . Celing limit increased to 21,000/- as against 10,000/- and also calculation limit increased from 3,500/- to 7,000/-.. Notification attached.
3. Gratuity Applicability : Even employee leaves organization before 5 years , he is eligible for gratuity claim. Notification awaited.
