I joined as AGM - engineering & projects(designation as per appointment letter) in 2007. Now i am transferred as AGM- pharma marketing (designation as per salary slip) But company never gave me a job responsibility of AGM-pharma marketing instead situation forced me work as " medical representative a lowest position in pharma marketing department. Pls advise what designation i should apply for VRS/CRS.

Hello GhaleBS, Obviously you will be using whatever Designation you have AS PER RECORDS/PAPER. What you are actually doing — meaning the role — doesn’t matter here. Rgds, TS

Hello Mr BS Ghale,
In PSUs when they transfer people they certainly give a transfer order.
Did you get your transfer order? If yes what is mentioned in it.
If your pay slip says it is AGM Pharma, it means the transfer order
has gone to HR/P&A/Accounts departments.
In all official correspondences you should use only the designation
as given by the PSU.
Whatever job you are doing has no relevance in this context.

Hello GhaleBS,
Since you are working in a PSU, pl note that AGM is you designation--IRRESPECTIVE of which Department you are posted to....be it engineering & projects OR pharma marketing OR Design, etc, etc.
The Salary Scale/Grade for AGM in ALL Depts would essentially remain the same [except maybe some minor variations depending on the location, nature of job, etc]. Only the Basic & a few other Heads of the CTC [like HRA, DA, etc] would change between individuals.
Between your Transfer Order & the Salary Slip, the Salary Slip is the one with more clear details--just go with it.
Hope this clarifies.

Tnx..I am surprised PSU can give appointment letter as AGM- engineering & can be transferred as AGM-marketing/security/house keeping/HR..if yes...in my view purpose of appointment is defeated and misusing the skilled manpower..? & killing an engineer carrier just because they are paying..?
I am not expressing hard feelings but what kind of Democratic country we r in..?
