Hello Seniors,
I have often noted that employees don't go through organization's policies and procedures and some dont keep themselves updated. Policies could be related to HR, Finance or their work related and they have to be complied with. I am planning to make a quiz format to inculcate interest of staff in policies and will organize a small one hour policy workshop. I'm sure that this test can help employees to understand how updated they are on policies and could make them take out time and go through the policies. My motive is also to increase their interests and realize the importance of policy knowledge and compliance.
Has anyone of you done any session like this? Any inputs would be highly appreciated. I dont know to go about it.
Thanks
Vineeta

Hi Vineeta, We do it but not for the polices. The quiz will be on our products. Just to check how far the employees especially the sales team are aware of.

Officials from HR department can visit various departments from time to time and informally speak to employees over a cup of tea.
Use the occasion to get feedback on HR problems and give solutions wherever possible on the spot.
Latest policy decisions, updates can be shared.
This walk about HR will give good idea to both employee and HR officials an insight to each others work.
A quiz on HR may not interest employees to that extent.

Hello Vineeta,
While your idea & effort is laudable and also quite necessary in Organizations, I think Nathrao also has a point when he says 'A quiz on HR may not interest employees to that extent'.
Suggest also look for ways to make the idea 'implementable'--maybe include some sort of a recognition for those who either participate or give the right answers.
All the Best.

Thank You everyone for your inputs and appreciation. The Quiz i wanted to make purports to cover all aspects which ensure smooth functioning of an office and not necessarily related to HR. Thank you! :)

Hello Vineeta, Yes..We cover that as well. Just to be sure that each employee irrespective of the department they know about the product in and out.
