Hi All,
I am a 4 years experienced guy in IT sector.
Recently one company gave me offer letter and based on that I resigned from my previous employer, and my new company keep on asking me for my last working day to give me joining date.
When I got released from my previous company, they keep on telling me that they will make me join with in a day or two and this way they wasted my whole month, and just now there HR says that someone will call you shortly to discuss on the travel tickets, but I receive a call from there director saying we have nothing for you.
I mean they made me jobless and then say we have nothing for you, I mean this is totally unethical, how could someone do like this.
What should I do in this case, please help.

Dear Friend,
1. Unfortunately this is an example of poor/Bad HR practice.
2. If you have left your previous company on good rapport, can discuss it there with your reporting manger & HR dept. If policy allows so or they make an exception for you, well & good.
3. Eventually lodge FIR against the personnel & company with all the supporting documents. (If something contains in your offer letter which reads as," Nothing should not be considered as final word, until receipt of appointment letter; then you can't do anything).
All good wishes !

Dear Sir, Many thanks for your reply. No nothing as such is mentioned in their call letter. So should I report this to Labour Court or a Civil Court. Thanks, Bhuvan

Dear Friend,
You need to play diplomatically !
I would recommend to refrain from legal action on them, as it will consume too much time & money of your's.
Instead report it to local media & they will do the rest. (Atleast in future they will not exploit any other innocent)
Look for other opportunity, be honest & maintain your stand of what had happened to the new company.
You can always jump back, cheers !

Hi,
You have been rightly advised to refrain from legal action. Going to labour court or any other authority will be a waste of time and resources. You have two options:
1. To approach the employer and explain your circumstances (without putting the blame on any one), and request for a suitable appointment considering your background.
OR
2. To go back to your previous employer, and explain the circumstances which led you to resign, and request for reconsideration of your case. If your conduct and work was good, the employer might consider your case on sympathetic grounds.
You have to be very diplomatic in your approach, and try to get back on the saddle. Don't waste your time and energy, in filing complaints or approaching any authority. No one would believe you. Resigning from a job, without an appointment letter is not a wise thing to do.
Wishing you all the best
