Dear Unsan,
Failure of giving notice can't be traited as absconded, as you have already intimated to them about your leaving but, due to for medical reason you could not give notice, if you would have left without intimation can be lead & treated as absconded.
& if they have considered you as absonding, then they would have issued you show cause notice or charge sheet again it for asking the intimation or clearyfication on the same.

Dear Unsan,
Can you offer to buy out the notice period ? If they have already recorded it as abscond case, the chances are that they haven't closed your Full and Final settlement .
Please initiate it with a request on the humanity groups.
Hope it works.

You have to ask them. It is generally the amount that is calculated by the CTC on the number of days left in the notice period.
But then calculations can vary . The HR in the firm can explain it the best !

This is a clear case of other companies being hand in glove with the first company. Now a days new companies insist on a No dues cert + resignation acceptance letter from the old company., thus they are making the bond/ bond-like conditions on the employee.
They must accept a declaration from the employee and allow him to join. They do not want to hire dissatisfied employees, who may cause them harm by forming TU.
The Labour office is not supporting the employees in this regard...which they should.
