Hi,
We are a new organization with about 35 employees. No one is getting less than 7000/- per month, and no employee is asking for PF, and neither have they had PF before.
So, my question is that I know that it is not mandatory to pay PF if salary is above 6.5K, and if employee does not ask for it, BUT do I need to register for PF?
Someone told me that it costs about 30,000 for PF registration. Is this true?

I had read somewhere that if salary is above 6500, it is voluntary and not compulsory? Also this is a health care facility not a factory, so minimum number is 20 right. We are above 20 but just asking.

If you register your self PF Registrations costs "0" all the applications you can get free of cost form PF office. if through consultant he may charge according to his wish & will.
Suggestion:- if you have Employees covered under PF or not you get Register & you can file Nil Monthly(online) Returns.

Hi,
See the FAQs
faq
The following categories are excluded from enrolment.
. Those who are drawing more than Rs.6500/- at the time of joining. An employee who was drawing lesser amount at the time of joining and the pay subsequently raised to more than 6500/- is required to continue as member irrespective of salary.
So, if all my employees are above 6500/- pm and they have never been enrolled in EPF before, I think I don't need any of them to be enrolled?

When employee numbers reaches 20 or 20 +, from that day onwards PF Registration is applicable for employer.
PF Contribution is applicable for employee/er for those employee that getting basic salary + DA less than 6500.
An Employer and Employee can come to a consensus and opt not to contribute EPF if the employee's salary is above Rs. 6500/- per month.
if your organization have 20 employee but your organization don't registration with PF, then EPFO may be apply on you criminal charges.
