Can anybody please guide on the following :
In ESIC half yearly return, we need to report that "During the period ____ nos. of employees employed through immediate employer have been covered and a total wages of Rs.____ have been paid to such employees"
My query is :
1. If the immediate employer has deducted and remitted the ESIC and submitted the challan to the company, whether those employee details have to be included in above.
2. If the immediate employer has not deducted but the company has deducted and remitted (omitted wages), whether those employee details have to be included in above.
Thanks,

Dear Member
There is no need to submit half yearly returns under ESIC scheme but an employer (immediate) employs 40 & above workers in the half yearly period, need to upload a Chartered Accountant certificate in ESIC online portal.
You can generate half yearly return Form 5 in online portal and keep it in your file.
