Hi,
We have a situation where one of our employee tried to breach IT security by taking the installation file of a company owned licensed software, however, this was blocked as the person was trying to send this file through email. Anyways we have to issue a warning letter to her so please send me a draft of the warning letter...
regards

Dear friend,
Draft of the warning letter apart, could you investigate what were the intentions of employee behind her action? Did she do this inadvertently? Are there SOPs well in place to prevent security breach of this kind? If SOPs are there then are the employees aware of those SOPs? If she has done deliberately, then mere issue of warning letter is not sufficient. You may have to take sterner action. Possibly, it could be telling her to put in her papers.
Lastly, I recommend you writing draft of the letter on your own and uploading it here. Some senior like me will correct it.
Thanks,
Dinesh V Divekar
