Dear Shal
In my opinion no need to pay PF and others. But medical you may include in your normal procedure at par with your temporary employees.
That would greatly address your issues,I hope.
Have a nice day...With best wishes,

Dear Ashish,
The Apprentice will work as a trainee cum employee. He will be paid with a consoldated payment in the name of stipend. It is for one year only.
No provision to continue beyond that time limit. A certificate has to be issued to the effect of successfull completion of Apprenticeship.

Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 are excluded from ESI and EPF Acts.Apprentices under the standing osders of the Co are excluded from EPF Act only but they come under ESI.Since EC Act is applicable to apprentices it is advisable to cover them under Personal Accident Insurance policy.
