hello all,
i resigned from services on 28th may 13 and 1st june 13, was my last working day..i joined this company on 19 may 2003.
i have received my full and final settlement which included one day salary and unpaid LTA. i also received experience certi cum reliving letter.
Please advise when is gratuity payable? is it paid alomg with PF for which i have opted for withdrawl since i am jobless.
Also since i have sold out the house and moved to another city, am i risking missing of pf cheque or it is settled thru direct credit to account given.
Thanks all

Dear Dheerpat,

Please check your full and final settlement details / statement for inclusion of gratuity amount. Eligibility for gratuity is completion of 5 years of service. Gratuity is payable to employee on separation at the time of relieving from services. Since you have completed 10 years of service, you are eligible for gratuity and the company normally pays gratuity along with full and final settlement. PF is different and Gratuity is different.

You have not stated in your query whether you opted for PF payment by concerned PF authorities through Cheque/DD or through direct credit to your bank account. If you had opted for direct credit to your bank account in PF withdrawal form (Form 19) then, your accrued PF amount will be credited to your bank account by PF authorities within 30 to 45 days, provided all details are correct.

Now, you can check the status of your PF online and you can also download your PF passbook. Check with local PF authorities under whose jurisdiction your last worked office falls, to know the status of your PF disbursement.

Dear Dheerpat,
Your company was liable to settle your dues in full & final, other than Gratuity & Bonus with in 2 days. That is settled.
Your company is liable to setle your Gratuity with in 30 days. You are advised to enquire with your employer about it and submit your claim application in Form I aeap.
As regards to your PF settlement, you need to submit Form 19 & 10c to your employer on completion of 2 months of your date of leaving. It is the common practice with all RPFC to settle the claims by paying the dues directly in bank account of members. For this purpose, you need to submit a cancel cheque, compulsory.
Now EPFO has announced online settlement from July1, 2013. But the department has not come out with procedure yet.

Thank you all for your reverts,
as per process " PF declaration form & form 10 c to be filled(one copy each along with one cancelled cheque"
no mention of form 19...is it different? actually i was working with HDFC Bank whose pf is a trust.pf declaration form is where you opt for either wdrawl or trasnfer. Should i nowdownload and fill form 19 ?
since centurion bank was merged with HDFC for them
"form 19 and form 10c to be filled(2 copies along with 2 cancelled chq)"
so confused on forms
as regards gratuity not being a part of fnf, as per process
"the full and final sett will comprise of unpaid salary till last working date and unclaimed lta"
so no mention of gratuity here.

For payment of gratuity after cessation of service, one has to apply for it in prescribed format. Please inquire with your administration/ HR branch whether they are waiting for your application for payment of gratuity. And one more thing, Dear, why did you not prefer transfer of your PF to new employer in case you have joined another employer? Thanks & regards,

Employee is not entitled to settle his PF account but to transfer it to new employment compulsorily, in case he joins the new employment within 2 months of his leaving . If account is settled, he is likely to be caught in IT rollout. EPFO can prosecute him and compel him to pay back the amount received by him with interest.

its difficult for a person like me who has resigned with no job in hand can ascertain that within 2 months he will get a job...well this rule is a news to me,,my last working day was june 1 2013 so does that means that even if i get a job i better not join before 1 aug?

Dear Korgaonkar K A . Making PF transfer compulsory when joined in the new organisation within two months is a good decision. Please post the same for information all.

Dear Mr. Korgaonkar,
"This means you are not agree with me for rest of my posting. Isn't it?".Lolz
If I don't agree, it does not mean I disagree! Its just that I need to study for the rest part of your posting to revert.
