Dear Dinesh,
In addition to the above benefits, the victims legal heirs (parents, spouse, children or siblings - if she was unmarried) can claim do the following:
File a claim in the MACT (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal) court, in the place where she was residing, either under section 163A or section 166 of Motor Vehicle Act, quoting the truck no. and if possible the name of the truck driver.
Please check if the insurance policy against the vehicle also included a section for Personal Accident. In that case, the legal heirs may file a claim with the concerned insurance company giving details and relevant documents.
Life Insurance policy, if any was invested in by the victim, would also pay the sum assured and any other added benefits.
If the victim or the office where she was working had a Personal Accident policy or life insurance or Group Life Insurance policy, these would also pay the necessary benefits.,
If the victim was admitted to the hospital and she had a mediclaim policy, the expenses and ambulance charges, if incurred, can be reimbursed under the policy if all the necessary documents are submitted to the concerned insurance company.
All these benefits can be claimed simultaneously from the respective companies/organisations.
Best wishes,
