Our company is recently registered under Karnataka Shops & Commercial Establishment Act. Our company is having two sister concerns and recently our employee strength has reached to 30 Nos.(consolidated).
Can anyone please assist me with the Gratuity applicability.

Is the total strength of both the concerns 30 ? Payment of gratutiy act is applicable for employee strength of 10 or more. In case each establishment is having crossed this strenght the PGA is applicable. In that case you need to send the notice of opening to the concerned authorities as also display the extract of the act at a prominent place. It shall be payable upon employee (having completed 5 years in service) superannuating, termination or resignation.
