Yes, the admin manager role is a key one and he needs to have a comprehensive outlook. But his roles will differ to industry to industry and office to office due to nature of work. (E.g., Vehicle management is not his core job in a travels, but in industry, where vehicles are being hired, it is his main job). But anyhow, we can broadly classify 12 major roles and responsibilities.
1) Daily Management Reviews (Up Keep, Renewals, attend issues, Payments)
2) Negotiations with Admin Vendors (Price, Service, Supplies and service reviews)
3) Maintain SLA
4) Vendor & Payment Management
5) Tracking Mechanisms (Such as Vehicle availability, timely service, tracking the movement and drivers, Security etc)
6) Security Management
7) Office Management (Upkeep, Control & Developments)
8) Travel Management (Ticket bookings, tracking and service)
9) Environmental Management
10) Budget Preparations and reviews
11) Handling Statutory and government agencies (Non specific)
12) Should have good rapport with all Outside agencies, govt agencies, which is a main requirement.
