Does a gap of 10 days between releieving and joining dates considered as break in service? For eg, if the releiving date is 20th Feb and joining date is 1 March, does this gap considered as break in service.

Dear Pankaj,
Generally gap of 1 month between two jobs is not considered as break. At least I did not consider and neither I found anyone doing that.
Many times we have to handle domestic chores. Getting leave is at times difficult. The best thing to do is to complete activities like conducting some religious ceremonies, visits to religious places, holidays, minor repairs in house etc during this period.
In your case break of ten days is quite small therefore, you may not worry about it much. But then every HR has their own interpretations. Therefore, other senior members may give their opinions. When you go for interview, you should have convincing reply for that ten days break.
If some company starts pointing these small breaks then it also reflects the culture of "nitpicking" or "cavilling" of their company.
Thanks,

Dear Mr. Pankajv1,
It is not considered to be a gap, if it is 10 days -- It is an interlude in order to become manifested for the next job earned. A gap is mandatorily taken to transfuse from one organizational culture to another in purticular.
The time lag is considered chronological, in case, a designation that is quite important & has its value unless joined intantly as the targetted accomplishments is to put your best foot forward. It is far more important in most cases to be able to explain yourself verbally, as few companies seek people who are less/no challenging.
