Good Morning Everyone, I work for an Australian MNC at its corporate Office in India, as each one of you aware we are very closure to 42nd National Safety Week which is on 4th March'2013. Each year we do celebrate this program with lots of zeal and commitment to meet organizational goals towards sustaining incident free work environment every day.
As always, we try and do something different every time to motivate employees at workplace, this time I am out of thoughts,
CAN YOU GUYS PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH GOOD SUGGESTIONS FOR SAFETY DAY, THANKS

Dear Mr. Revu Chavan
Nice to see your posting in Citehr. First of all a very warm welcome to the EHS forum of CiteHR. Hope you shall be a regular and participating member here.
You can get a lot of inputs on how to celebrate the NSD from this website... Use the RESEARCH option available on the top of this page... Apart from that you may organize the following:
1. Organize an in house Exhibition displaying details of all the facilities/infrastructures/ppe available
2. If you are having sufficient space available in your plant area, an open exhibition will give more impact. Something different atmosphere you can create.
3. In this exhibition involve maximum people. Make departmental competition for the stalls and exhibiting their best practices. You can see great ideas coming out. Will give more impact.
4. You can organize a rescue drill witnessing all the employees.
5. You can go for organizing some training program for the family members of your staff. This will help to involve them strongly into the Safety culture development, like LPG Safety Clinic, Defensive Driving, etc.
6. Theme based Safety Play (Natak) competition. Like Safety at Height, Electrical Safety, Etc. Make this also as an inter departmental competition, see the result.
A lot good things like this you can do. Do share what all you manage to do in a different manner for your organization, may be once you complete celebrating this year NSD. All the best.
As you expecting to get some input against your query, many people coming up with lot of quires... Hope as being senior professional in the field, your involvement and participation in the days to come in CiteHR EHS forum...
Thanks in advance...
