Hi my name is Pratik, I work as a restaurant manager in Auckland. We have opened a new new restaurant and my business owners want me to the staff training for new wait Staff (floor staff). I have worked in Human Resource, during my Industrial training in collage. But it has been a long time and I haven\'t done any HR stuff for a very long time. can someone please help me how to do this training (ie) I know what all things I have to explain them, but I need a solid plan and steps which only professional have. I will really appreciate the help!
Cheers!

Hi Pratik,
Start by putting together a list of items you want the staff to walk out door knowing once the training is over. I find that if you start this way and work backwards you can then begin to put your arms around creating the training content. Have you checked to see if any restaurant training guides already exist on the web by doing a Google search? Don't reinvent the wheel unless you have to--that's my view at least.
