Gratuity is not wages. Therefore it need not be included in the pay slip. The Payment of Gratuity Act does not require the employer to indicate gratuity in the pay slip. "Gratuity" is only potential, in the sense that the employee gets a right to its payment and the employer is fastened with the liability to pay gratuity only if the conditions specified in the PG Act are fulfilled. Therefore there is no need to mention it in the pay slip.
