Dear seniors,
We are experiencing a lot of trouble with the new ESIC website while making monthly payments. What if there is excess / short payment ?And I have not been able to adjust that correctly ?
Will this create audit issues ?
Please advise.

as long as my experience holds we have found some difference in monthly contribution because of rounding off to the nearest whole number. if the short payment difference is there try to fill contribution under subject omitted wages. But first suggestion would be "consult your Local office for the same, if they agree to do it from their end its well and good."

Now in the contribution period from April to Sept 2011 , there has been short payment from the employee as well as the company s side, so, how do I reply to the auditors ?

Dear All,
I have also gone through the said issue but I have confirmed with our Regional Pune office regarding the same. They have accepted the round up formula issue that ESI software taking short payment.
So consulting Regional / Local ESI office is the best solution. No need to worry.

Yes, but in our case, it is not just due to rounding off from the website, but some error from our end. What do I do ?

Dear Sir,
Whatever difference you are getting, fill it under omitted wages, and provide a copy of challan with covering letter to your local office. let your local office know that you are filling it under omitted wages.
hope this will serve your query.
