Hi Seniors,
I have joined X company on 02.01.2011.. Appointment letter says that you have to serve min 1 year service failing which there will be various recoveries..
Now question is, this service means from joining date to resignation date or joining date to relieving date..
requesting your help..

The date will always be for Relieving date because the organization pays you for the period between Notice and relieving, hence legally you are an employee of the organization till you are relieved.

Dear Ravi,
1. First read properly the content & clauses of offer/Appointment letter issued to you at time of joining.
2. Also check whether their is any clause of bond or agreement with your X company mentioned in letters.
Or you can also consult with your HR team for more clarity.

Hi Ravi,
'Also in the case where employee leaves the services of the Company before completion of one year service from the dare of joining, the amounts paid to the employee towards Notice Pay Paid to his previous employer as well as Relocation Expenses and Joining Bonus (if applicable) will be recovered in full from the employee.'..
The above lines refers to that if you leave the company before completion of 1yr then the following amount will be collected from you
1) If any amount paid to your previous company(i;e buy out option) towards your notice period .
2) Need to pay relocation expenses if you have relocated from some other place to current location to join the company and
3) joining bonus if they paid anything to you before joining the company.
Hope its clear for you.
