I am Working In an large organization and My Boss That means not reporting manager, owner of the organizations asked me on promotion interview that with whom i would work with company brand name or with the onwer of co.
what is the massage behind this question and what would be my answer ? Pls Help as he call me tomorrow again for the same and on this my promotion depends, my owner having lots of experiences about life and human beings.

Both are important in our life, it is two side of a coin. Because Successful bosses have Good communication & Skills they learn from people, including their employee’s, we always learn from Successful Bosses. As far as Brand is also important in our life, when we have to purched a Car, after all we should choose a brand & also we are reflected by our Organization Name in future.
In my Opinion we are working for Company Brand Name.

Both are important in our life, it is two side of a coin. Because Successful bosses have Good communication & Skills they learn from people, including their employee’s, we always learn from Successful Bosses. As far as Brand is also important in our life, when we have to purched a Car, after all we should choose a brand & also we are reflected by our Organization Name in future.

thanks for reply Mr. Modi, i had given this reply but he did not agree. As i am quite young age 24, he asked me to speak with my father regarding this question, i should discuss this with my father according to him.

the company brand name was created by the owner, with out him, company would not have there and the brand name.

I would suggest you to look deeper and find what you want. Be honest, at 24 working for a brand name will earn you credibility. Your CV will automatically gain weight-age if you have worked with the TIER -I or the top employers.
However, working with an owner will ensure you learn to see the business through his eyes, no matter whatever role you work for. Smaller organizations offer higher degree of responsibility with greater expertise as there are fewer people to deliver the job.
More importantly in large organization employees get pigeon-holed, into a set of tasks. Whenever, there is a new responsibility, it goes to the best and often senior-most deserving the step-up. Whereas, small firms have different parameters to allocate responsibilities. The team bonding is naturally greater. In a large organization, you may see the CEO once a year. Whereas, here you would work with him. This orientation is priceless. Often best, when gained early, as it helps in maturing professionally, faster.
The choice remains yours. Please identify your priorities and then speak. Wish you all the best!

So you need to check the kind of role that you are going to do. If you like more of cordination work, meetings, presentation, posh offices, good canteens, decent coworkers and handsome salaries , should join large organisation.
it is upto you to decide , wether to be a boss and every day is a challange or mon-friday only work and no risk.

I do agree with (Cite Contribution). Brand may matter, however along with experience and knowledge brand will give a higher weight-age. Knowledge and experience will come through performing multiple roles which you can do (probably only) in smaller organisations.
