Hi Anurag,
1- He being shifted to Project department
2- It was internal transfer- as we are having requirement in project department .
3.Not an additional role -Complete different responsibilities but till the other person for technical department is under training. This person was handling Technical role as well till May 2011.

Dear Milan, U can conduct performance appraisal on Pro data basis. That is performance Appraisal KRA will contain both Project Department & Technical department as well.

Hi Milan,
As the situation described; we can proceed with below:
1. Both KRA shall be taken into account while reviewing the performance.
2. I am also agreed with Mr Barathi "conduct performance appraisal on Pro data basis".
3. It appears that the role hasdbeen extended and may due to his competencies or others had been in consideration; therefore this fact shall also be given due weightage.

Hi,
The ideal way could be to do two appraisal review get the rating independently for the two roles, after this finalize the final rating for the year as a weighted average of two scores, giving weightage to the tenure spent in each role.

Mr. Milan,
If the appraisal period is from April to March, then you can do the appraisal pertaining to Technical department only. It is because the individual cannot do anything remarkably within two months ie Feb and March.

Dear Mili,
You can work on Bharathi's advice, as you can neither ignore two month's of performance of employee in project department, nor it is advisable to call a separate apparaisal merely for two months in addition to the 10 months of his performance appraisal in technical department.

Dear Milan,
Generally appraisal will be done on his performed KRAs. In this case he worked almost a year less than two months in technical dept, so as a HR we need to be consider his review of KRAs in technical dept, he is working in project dept and handling additional responsibilities will be adding the advance to his performance.
